We currently have vacancies for two Special Educational Needs Teachers.

The ideal candidate should have the below:

Essential

  • QTS
  • Minimum 5 years classroom experience with SEND
  • Knowledge of Code of Practice in UK
  • Knowledge of Dubai Inclusive Education Framework

 

Desirable

  • Formal qualification in any area of SEND
  • Previous experience of SEND outside UK

 

Basic Duties

  • Plan, deliver, review and evaluate intervention classes for students with a range of SEND
  • Track progress of SEND students
  • Select or create bespoke resources to support intervention
  • Contribute to the creation of Individual Education Plans
  • Contribute to the review of Individual Education Plans
  • Communicate with parents on a daily basis
  • Liaise with classroom teachers to ensure that strategies are implemented across the curriculum
  • Contribute to departmental CPD
  • Contribute to the ongoing professional development of Learning Support Assistants
  • Collaborate with external agencies (e.g. Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy)

We currently have a vacancy for a Secondary English Specialist TA.

Start Date: Immediate

The successful applicant must be:

  • A native-English speaker with a good level of general education in English and with solid understanding of SPaG.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills with excellent standard of written and spoken English. ICT skills desirable. Able to handle a range of tasks, work under pressure and relate well to children and colleagues.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant or working with children preferred.
  • TEFL/TEFL qualification desirable.

  • Arabic communicating skills will be an added advantage.
