Anthea Georgiou
Year 12 Leader
I’m delighted to introduce myself as the new Head of Year 12. I was born in London with Greek Cypriot roots. I graduated from Bristol University in 2009 with a BA in Drama: Theatre, Film, and Television and I then completed my PGCE in Drama at Middlesex University in 2011.
Since then, I've held various roles in education, including Head of Drama and Head of Year for 6 years in the UK, where I also led a team of Heads of Year. After embarking on a new journey and moving to Dubai with my family last year, I took on the role of Head of Houses at FPS, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I am now thrilled to join the KS5 team and support our students as they begin this important stage in their educational journey.
I am passionate about ensuring all students have a positive and memorable school experience. Celebrating achievements, motivating students to reach their full potential and take on board opportunities available in and out of school is a key priority of mine.
In my spare time, I have taken part in Amateur Dramatic performances and enjoy playing sports including padel which has been my latest interest since moving to Dubai! I have a background as a Zumba instructor and Greek dancing teacher! I am excited to welcome both new and returning students to Year 12 and look forward to working closely with students and parents.
