Michelle Benoit
Inclusion Teacher
I have ten years of experience in a variety of educational environments, with the majority of my time spent in London, UK, and the last two years in Dubai. I graduated with a BA Hons in Educational Practice from Bedfordshire University followed by a PGCE from University College London (UCL).
Before completing my PGCE, I began my career as a teaching assistant, supporting children with sensory impairments, physical disabilities, Autism, Global Development Delay, Down’s Syndrome, and EAL needs. As a qualified teacher, I have instructed children in Years 2 to Year 5, where I led classes with multiple SEND children, supervised teaching assistants, and worked in close collaboration with SENCOs and specialists to evaluate and assess their progress.
As a dedicated SEND teacher, my greatest joy lies in supporting the growth and development of children with special educational needs. I believe every child holds incredible potential, and my mission is to help them recognise their strengths, build self-confidence, and exceed their expectations and those set by others. Teaching is about building resilience, believing in children, and inspiring them to fulfil their potential while enjoying their unique journey.
I now have the privilege of joining the FPS Inclusion team where I am excited to contribute my experience and passion for supporting SEND students, ensuring they thrive and achieve their fullest potential in addition, to pursuing the National Professional Qualification for SENCO’s.
