Claire Nami

Foundation Stage 1 Leader

Mrs Nami is from Harrogate a small town in North Yorkshire in the UK. She studied Early Childhood Studies at The University of Sunderland before completing her PGCE training in Primary Teaching at Leeds Metropolitan University in 2003. After a year teaching Year 2, she has spent the past 16 years as an Outstanding Early Years teacher in both the UK and Dubai. She has been in a Year Leader position since arriving in Dubai in 2015 and is dedicated to provide forward thinking, innovative and child centered learning opportunities for all the children she teaches. Mrs Nami joined GEMS FirstPoint School in 2018 and is an integral part of the Foundation Stage Team.

Mrs Nami teaches in FS1 and leads the highly motivated FS1 team. She is a very experienced teacher and has an expert knowledge of child development. Mrs Nami is always conscious of the children’s well-being and her kind and nurturing nature makes every child feel valued, respected and cared for. As a mum herself to two teenage children, Mrs Nami is aware of every child’s needs and is passionate about teaching children to love learning and inspiring them to thrive.
