Laura Nulty

Head of Year 12

Miss Nulty began her teaching career in 2009, following a number of years working in the Sports Development Sector in the UK for England Hockey and England Athletics. She holds a B.A. (Hons) degree in Sports, Health and Exercise from Durham University as well as a PGCE in Secondary PE teaching from The University of Birmingham. Miss Nulty’s first teaching post was as a PE teacher at Ackworth School – a co-educational independent boarding school in West Yorkshire, UK. As a netball specialist, Miss Nulty has experience in coaching District and County teams in Shropshire and West Yorkshire at U13 & U15 age groups.  

Miss Nulty moved to Dubai in 2012 with a PE teaching job at GEMS Wellington International School where she remained for 6 years. During her time at WIS, Miss Nulty held a variety of middle leadership roles including student leadership co-ordinator and Year Leader. She took a year group from Year 9 through to the end of their GCSEs, where the students gained record results for the school.
