Teaching and Learning is at the heart of FPS and our input is highly impactful, providing a climate for limitless learning. Our lessons are stimulating and teaching styles are assured in responding to the individual needs of our students. We are driven by our core purpose to nurture the talents of every child in our school and we are resolute in our commitment to ensuring that every child is a high performing learner. Our teaching and learning maintains a rigorous and continuous drive to be inclusive, accelerate learning and develop personalised learning pathways. As such, we are committed to ensuring our practices are research-informed and developed through effective professional learning.
In lessons, we strive to prioritise oracy and literacy, ensuring equity of access to the curriculum for all children. We work with families to communicate the characteristics of successful learning through the VAAs and ACPs of HPL. Our assessment systems ensure a continuum of learning and enable us to confidently respond with innovative solutions. Our mastery curriculum is underpinned by a mastery mentality and we have high ambition for all children. Every minute of learning time that your child has with us is planned for, to ensure that their learning is maximised and personalised to them.
