FPS Student Oscar Craig Wins DASSA Golf Championship in Challenging Conditions

Oscar Craig Wins DASSA Golf Championship

We are thrilled to announce that one of our students, Oscar Craig in Year 12, has won the DASSA Golf Championship. The event was held on Monday 13th March at the Arabian Ranches Golf Club, and it was an impressive display of golfing skill and determination from all participants.

Over 100 students from across Dubai participated in the 4 qualifying rounds, with 24 making it to the final. We had 6 students in the final field, 25% of the participants. Well done to Adrian Larsson, Oscar Craig, Rami Samawi, Rio Hunter, Sam Durbin and Victor Larsson. They all performed admirably, with Oscar, Rami, Adrian and Sam finishing in the top 10. However, it was Oscar who emerged victorious, with an outstanding gross score of -2.

The conditions on the day were incredibly challenging, with strong winds and tough pin positions. Despite this, Oscar remained composed and focused, and his performance was a testament to his talent and dedication. He demonstrated excellent decision-making skills and executed his shots with precision, earning himself the well-deserved title of DASSA Golf Champion.

Oscar's win is a proud moment for FPS, and it highlights the success of our Elite Golf Programme. We are committed to nurturing and supporting our students' passions and talents, and we believe that Elite Golf Programme is essential to developing excellence on the golfing pathway.

We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Oscar and his family, as well as all of the coaches at the Claude Harmon 3 Performance Academy that have supported him along the way.
This is an incredible achievement and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for this talented young golfer.
