Heather Nisbett
Year 1 Leader
I started my teaching career in Scotland as a Primary School Teacher. I graduated from Strathclyde University with a B.Ed (hons) in Primary Education and Early Childhood Studies. Over the last 13 years, I have a varied range of teaching experience in Key Stage 1 and 2 and have taught in Scotland, Abu Dhabi, London, Singapore and Dubai.
I moved to Dubai two years ago with my family and joined GEMS FirstPoint School and am delighted to take on the role of Year Leader in Year 1.
As an educator, I firmly believe it is my responsibility to widen the students’ experiences and provide them with lifelong skills to instill a love of learning where they can thrive and be inspired. Ultimately, my goal is to empower my students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed, both in their academic pursuits and in their future endeavors.
