COBIS (Council of British International Schools)

A membership association that represents more than 450 schools, recognising British International Schools of Global Quality.
It recognises the ability for a British School abroad to work alongside other British Schools to influence policy and decisions made in the UK that will directly influence subjects and curriculum within our international context.

Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

Our centre is approved to offer at Bronze, Silver and Gold level – The world's leading youth achievement award, established in the U.K. Why is it important? The programme develops commitment, resilience, self-motivation, independence and responsibility. Every participant's programme personal to them with students of different abilities, backgrounds, beliefs and circumstances working and achieving together.


ASDANASDAN (Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network)

A curriculum development organisation and awarding body, providing courses that develop skills for learning, work and life.
Why is it important? It gives GEMS FirstPoint School the opportunity to offer alternative pathways that support the practical application of skills that will be used throughout people’s lives.


Oxford AQA

Oxford AQA

FirstPoint School is approved to offer courses offered by Oxford AQA, a joint venture between Oxford University Press, a department of the University of Oxford, and AQA, one of the UK's leading academic awarding bodies.


AQAAQA (Assessment and Qualifications and Alliance)

Our School is approved to offer courses from AQA, an awarding body in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The group create high quality specifications and oversees examinations in various subjects at GCSE, AS and A Level.


Cambridge Assessment International EducationCambridge International

The School offers Cambridge International courses that are constructed and approved by part of the University of Cambridge, the organisation’s programmes and qualifications are among those that set the global standard for international education.


Pearson EdexcelPearson/Edexel

Pearson/Edexcel are the UK’s largest awarding organisation offering academic, vocational and work-based learning qualifications, including BTEC, Edexcel and LCCI. FirstPoint is approved to deliver their courses.


SAT College BoardSAT College Board (Suite of Assessments)

FirstPoint is one of the few approved assessment centres in the UAE.  The group represents standardised testing, widely used for US College Admission. This offers a great pathway for many of our senior students.


UAE Business Awards 2021
