Shannen O Grady

My name is Shannen O’Grady and I am a devoted, collaborative educator who thrives on providing students with the best possible start to their education and life. I relocated to Dubai from Ireland, in September 2023, starting as a SEND teacher at GEMS FirstPoint School (FPS). I have a bachelor’s degree in special educational Needs and Education and have been lucky enough to work in this area for the past 10 years in both Ireland and Thailand. Most importantly, I have gained valuable lessons from all the children’s paths that I have crossed. I am a firm believer that every child flourishes when presented with the opportunities to experience success and can reach their full potential every day. 

I have already been working closely with some of the wonderful students and families at FPS, who have all been so welcoming and willing to enhance their children’s learning opportunities and I look forward to working together to further those opportunities and support the children at FPS to reach their full potential and grow as life-long learners.
