Amy Jones

I started my teaching career in the South of England as a Primary School Teacher. I graduated from Edge Hill University with a B.A. (Hons) in Primary Education with Physical Education. Over the last 18 years, I have a varied range of teaching and leadership experience in Key Stage 1 and 2, including subject leadership, pastoral and responsibility and provision for Most Able.

I moved to Dubai five years ago with my family and joined GEMS FirstPoint School. I have previously been a Year 1 Leader, and am delighted to continue my role as Year 3 Leader this year.

I am extremely passionate to ensure that learning is meaningful and engaging for all learners through a broad and inclusive curriculum.  I maintain a constant drive for achieving the best for every child’s progress, attainment and welfare to develop well rounded individuals.
