Natalie Mead

Year 6 Leader

This academic year will be Ms Meads 3rd year teaching at FPS and her 7th year as a KS2 teacher. Previously, she had worked as the Primary Mathematics Coordinator. However, last year she took on a slightly different role as Year 6 Leader and is pleased to say that she will continue in this role for the 2022-2023 academic year.

She firmly believes her role as a teacher is to nurture and encourage her students to become lifelong learners who always aspire to achieve their very best. Her aim is to help each and every student to grow both academically and personally. She prompts students to think critically and explore their natural curiosity and leads by example by striving for continuous self-improvement.

She prides herself on being a dynamic, energetic teacher with high expectations of all. She sees her role as not only providing answers but to encourage the students in her class to be confident, independent learners who are able to take on any challenge presented to them. Her goal is that every child will leave Year 6 as a caring, respectful, resilient individual who is proud of their unique abilities and talents. She believes that students learn best in a stimulating environment where individual learning journeys enable them to excel academically, as well as develop morally, socially and culturally.
