Creative Arts Faculty

The Creative Arts Faculty is made up of the following subjects; secondary and A-Level Media, Design and Technology, Drama, Music and Art & Design and has been created to bring together the creative leaders of tomorrow. Our ambition as collective department leads is to support and involve our students in opportunities outside of the classroom that links to their unique interests.

At FPS, students from our arts-based subjects collaborate and support each other to create amazing showcases in the form of art exhibitions, stage productions, fashion shows or musicals.

For instance, with our latest school productions, we have our art and design students devising the scenes backdrops that will be used in the showcase. We have our fashion and design students helping to create the costumes and props that will be used.

Our media students will interview the cast members and create a write-up that will feature in the programs given out for the production. They will also video and photograph the rehearsal, again these images will be used in the program.

Our intent is to allow students to work to briefs and deadlines set by others and to involve them in cross-curricula activities that can reflect the realities and challenges in the industries they wish to pursue.
